As a designer, you already know that strong portfolios open doors. Weak portfolios do not.
Many designers hit mental blocks when shaping their portfolio. The portfolio is the fulcrum upon which acceptance or rejection happens. And emotional blockers like Imposter Syndrome, low confidence, or faltering morale can impose a paralysis that feels impossible to overcome.
The Port Review provides an opportunity for designers to get third-party, objective feedback from industry leaders who will help them shape their personal branding to align with key factors that trend toward success.
Every designer receives a short questionnaire upon booking a review. In this survey you’ll provide information about your experience level, your career goals, and whatever challenges you’ve been facing professionally.
After submitting your survey, your portfolio is reviewed on the basis of four critical factors that align with success in securing clients / employment. These factors are:
- Presentation
- Content
- Demonstration of Skill
- Power of Personal Brand
When your review is complete, you’ll receive a review packet containing feedback on up to 6 projects*, and a plan of action to start making updates right away. Some review options include a follow-up virtual meeting to discuss your portfolio, your feedback, and your strategy for moving forward.
Three packages are available, based on the level of review and personal brand-building that feels best for you: from a review focusd solely on your portfolio, to a granular examination of your work, resume, and interview presence, you’ll come away with a tons of useful insights and a renewed sense of confidence in what you’ve done and where you are going.
